When selecting a loader, the main considerations are the workplace and the intended use. Generally, in mining areas and on muddy dirt roads, crawler loaders are mostly chosen because they have stronger grip compared to wheel loaders, ensuring stable movement without slipping.

When working at high altitudes, such as locations with an altitude of over 3000m, it is recommended to use high-altitude diesel engines, typically those designed for construction machinery.

Determination of transmission type: Hydraulic mechanical transmission is commonly used. The key component is the selection of torque converter method. Currently, most loaders produced in China adopt dual-turbo, single-stage two-phase hydraulic torque converters.

When selecting a loader, one must also consider the braking capabilities of the Laizhou loader, which encompass multiple types of brakes: service brakes, parking brakes, and emergency brakes. The braking system comes in three types: shoe brakes, caliper disc brakes, and wet multi-disc brakes. The driving structure of the braking system typically employs a force amplifier, with power sources including compressed air, air-over-oil, and hydraulic systems. Currently, the air-over-oil braking system is commonly used, typically employing a dual-circuit braking system to enhance driving safety.
